Varda achieved a critical technical milestone in 2024 - their re-entry capsule successfully re-entered the atmosphere and landed in the Utah desert in February, bringing back the HIV drug ritonavir that they had crystallized in orbit. They also raised a $90M Series B led by Caffeinated Capital, and earned a $48M contract with the Air Force Research Lab to test military payloads on their re-entry capsules
